Bindy is a 6 yr old retriever mix. She was rescued from Thailand from the dog meat trade and flown to the US. She arrives at the prison on 7-5-17. She was a street dog and is leary of new people and surroundings. If you are interested in adopting Bindy when she finishes her training, contact her Rescue, Homeward Trails firstname.lastname@example.org
Week 1. Bindy came in on the 5th of July. She is extremely fearful of people other than her handler (who she responds to great). She is coming along and is showing signs of wanting to open up to people. Right now the only behavior her handler has noticed is she doesn't like other dogs in her face. She's still getting used to her environment and I am hopeful she will start coming out of her shell
Week 2. No journal provided by the handler (was working at his job and was not in the meeting)..
Week 3. Bind is coming along very slowly. She is still scared of a lot of things, and wants to hide behind her handler. God only knows why this poor pup is so frightened of everything. But she is starting to come up to people and others dogs to smell them. She is still very shy and scared, She is trying so hard to open up and I think is a few more weeks her journals will reflect a totally different dog.
