Isabella is a 1 year old female mixed breed (we don't know what she is mixed with but she only weighs 25 lbs) who arrived iin the program 12-12-18. If you think you would be interested in adopting her when she completes her training, please contact her Rescue, Friends Fur Life Rescue, at email@example.com
Week 1. Isabella quite the adorable little girl. She is just beginning to learn basic manners. She loves to play with the dogs, but has to be reminded that there is a right and wrong way to play. Fortunately, Dorey is a very good momma dog and checks her when she starts playing too rough. She just needs to learn doggie etiquette :-) She is beginning to learn the basics, but because she is still young and didn't have any previous training, her first order of business is to learn to focus. She's so adorable, though, and loves everyone, both people and dogs. She is a very active young girl and loves to play, play, PLAY :-) :-) She has already master sit and down. Her only fear is the wind. She becomes frightened when the wind is blowing hard. But that is to be expected, as she was a Hurricane Florence survivor. Isabella would do well in any home environment, even with kids.
Week 2. Sweet Isabella is such a wonderful young girl. She is great with all people and dogs. She is such an excited little girl and extremely smart. She is doing great with her cues/commands and knows sit, down and wait. She is a bundle of energy who would do great in a home with kids. She still becomes frightened when there is a strong wind, but her handler is doing his best to desensitize her, which is a little difficult, since it isn't always windy. But given her great temperment, we're sure she will overcome this one and only obstacle. She would be a great fit for any family.
Week 3. Our little Princess Isabella is making great progress. She is learning to really focus on her handler and what he is asking of her. Her favorite activity is playing (of course) but she's really showing improvement in dialing down her puppy excitement and listening. And she seemed to do better this week with the wind. It still makes her a little nervous, but her handler said she was much less concerned this week. She is such an adorable little girl!
